UP BJP leaders, workers to connect with people in next 2 weeks for 2022 assembly polls

Lucknow, Jun 23 (UNI) Ruling BJP in Uttar Pradesh after 2 days of grueling meetings to put a united face for the 2022 assembly polls, has now chalked out a 2 week long programme to connect with the people as well as the party workers in the rural parts of the state. 
The party during the meetings on Monday and Tuesday has decided to target 300 assembly seats in the 2022 polls and contesting the elections under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath. 
On Tuesday, the meeting of the core committee was held to evolve a strategy for projecting an united face in the elections after chief minister Yogi Adityanath and other senior RSS and BJP leaders went to the residence of deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya for a luncheon meeting. 
Under the fortnight long programme which started today on the death anniversary of party founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee will continue till his birth anniversary on July 6. 
During the fortnight, the BJP leaders and workers will reach to every booth in the state for vaccination and plantation drive. 
Party's senior vice- president and MLC Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Wednesday that the party workers will reach to every vaccination booth in the state and will set up a help desk to assist the people besides on June 25, they will go for mega plantation driver to achieve the record breaking target to plant 30 crore saplings.
On June 27, BJP leaders will stay at every booth to hear the ' Maan Ki Baat' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and connect the public with the central and state welfare schemes.
Earlier chief minister Yogi Adityanath had asked all his ministers to camp at every block from June 21 and inspect the development and welfare works of the government and solve the problem of the people, if any. The ministers have already started camping in the blocks.
On the other hand BJP national general secretary organisation B L Santosh, who had camped in the city for the past 2 days, has left for New Delhi this morning.
Meanwhile, CM Yogi Adityanath along with his ministerial colleague, paid floral tribute to late Janasangha founder Shyama Prasad Mukherjee here at his statue at the Civil hospital on his death anniversary.
Later CM tweeted "The great nationalist leader and thinker, the founder President of Jana Sangh, giving the slogan of two legislations, two heads and two marks will not run in one country and revered Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, who laid down his life for the unity and integrity of the country, on his martyrdom day , a humble tribute."
