Veteran Kannada actor Mohan Juneja passes away aged 54, 'KGF' team mourns his loss


Bengaluru, (UNI) Kannada actor Mohan Juneja passed away on Saturday, at the age of 54. Having acted in over 100 films in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu, the actor was a renowned name in the South who had unfortunately been suffering from prolonged illness. According to reports the actor had been undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was last seen in the Kannada mega blockbuster film “KGF:Chapter 2” where he played the role of informer Nagaraju. He was known for playing both comic as well as villainous roles with some of his most memorable films being “Chellata”, which established him as a household name. He was also a part of several television shows including “Vitara”. In condolence of his passing, director Prashanth Neel shared an image of Mohan on Instagram Stories and wrote, "Rest in peace sir (folded hands emoji)." Furthermore, the “KGF” production house also mourned the death of the actor, as Hombale Films tweeted about his passing saying that he was one of the most popular actors from Sandalwood. He was one of the best-known faces in Kannada films & our KGF family." “KGF Chapter 2”, has currently become a historic blockbuster, and has crossed the Rs 1,000 crore benchmark. The Hindi version of the film has alone minted more than Rs 400 crores, becoming the second highest-grossing Hindi film after “Bahubali 2: The Conclusion”.
