War against COVID-19: MP capital heading for another lockdown


Bhopal, (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan averred on Wednesday that – in view of COVID-19 infections spiralling within the state capital – a decision has been taken to impose a lockdown for a period of ten days. 

“The restrictions shall be imposed at 2000 hrs on Friday and lifted at 0800 hrs on August 4. During the period in question; medicines, vegetables and milk will be supplied even as industries remain operational. I appeal to my sisters and brothers – whose healthy existence is my primary concern – for exercising all precautions to rein in the contagion,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while reviewing the situation via videoconferencing at Mantralaya.

This district’s average positivity rate over the past week was 10.23 per cent.
