With air, water and land surveillance EC prepared for the third and last phase of the election


Patna, Nov 6 ( UNI) Amid air, water and land surveillance, the stage is all set for polling under third and last phase of the election tomorrow in 78 assembly seats out of 243 assembly constituencies spread in 15 districts where elaborate security has been made.

The Deputy Chief Electrical Officer Baijnath Singh said here that the security personnel would keep hawk's eyes through air for which air surveillance through choppers would be conducted.

Mounted police would be deployed in the river in areas and multi layered patrolling will be conducted. Alert has been sounded in all the districts witnessing poll tomorrow, he informed.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kumar Singh told news persons here that paramilitary forces would be deployed at all booths and arrangement of live webcasting has been made in selected booths .

The Dy. CEO said that security arrangements have been tightened for Valmiki nagar lok sabha by-poll. He further said the Election Commission has ordered for repoll on three booths of Hilsa assembly constituency in Nalanda district as the vehicle carrying EVMs and VVPATs escorted by the patrolling cum collecting party fell into the water while on way to the EVM collection centre and entire data got destroyed.
