Aarushi-Hemraj murder: Dead may tell some tales


New Delhi, The dead tell no tales, according to the truism, It may not be so in the 2008 Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, a whodunit which had hit national headlines. The Supreme Court on Monday admitted an appeal filed by the domestic help Hemraj’s wife, for further hearing in the teenager Aarushi Talwar murder case, its registry confirmed. Hemraj’s wife challenged the acquittal of Dr Rajesh and Nupur Talwar before the Supreme Court of India. A division bench, headed by Justice Ranjan Gogoi issued notice to the Talwars and the probe agency, Central Bureau of Investigation.The bench also asked for trial court records to be produced that had convicted the Talwar couple. Allahabad High Court had in its judgement acquitted the Talwars due to lack of evidence in their only daughter Aarushi murder case. Hemraj’s wife had on March 8, 2018, filed an appeal challenging the Allahabad High Court judgement in the Aarushi Talwar murder case.
