Apache in IAF


The ultra modern with tremendous attack and fire power capability fighter helicopter Apache have been inducted in the Indian Air Force by the Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanao at the Pathankot Air Base. Air Marshal Dhanao is on the verge of retirement and it was his parting gift to the Air Force. Eight Apache were allotted to the Pathankot Air Base, 14 more are coming soon and some of it will be based at Jorhat Air Base in Assam. India is modernizing its all the three wings the Army, the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy. India is 4th nation among the America, Russia, China and India who have such a large armed forces and striking power in world. The Apache is so powerful that it is termed as flying tank. It can fly 293 kilometer per hour with the load of heavy armament and can operate in the nights. In the year 2015 India negotiated for 22 Apache copters and next year in 2020 all will come to India. Earlier to it India purchased 4 giant size super military transport plane Hercules from America. Unfortunately one of it crashed near Agra. India is biggest buyer of armaments in the world. Earlier it was considered as backwardness of India but now India is considered as the biggest customers and all the developed nations manufacturing heavy and sophisticated state of art weapons are very eager to have India as their business partner. At one time during the American President Richard Nixon the relation between India and US became sore and not on happy note. Mr.Nixon denied F-16 Fighter jets, other military hardware and civilian Boeing planes. The India switched over to Russia for MiG fighter planes and France to have civilian Airbus planes. The Nixon action boomeranged and American defence industry lost biggest customer to its arch rival Russia. The American Defence Industry cursed Nixon for it. Now India having MiG from Russia and Rafale from France. The France is also come to India under Make in India and in a joint venture with India building nuclear submarines and warships at the Mazgaon docks in the Mumbai. It will also manufacture Rafale in India. The Germany wants to push in its Euro Fighter planes in India. India is also having defence deal with Israel and having weapon supply from there. The Indian Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi is in Russia on 2-day tour at its Eastern Naval Base city ofVladivostok. There is likelihood that India and Russia will enter into deals to have Russia come under Make in India to build warships and merchant ships in India in the eastern sea coast on the Bay of Bengal. Now all the nations are eager to come to India under its policy of foreign direct investment (FDI) to have big market to operate.
