Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, AU Small Finance Bank, a bank committed to the cause of financial inclusion, is also committed to the well-being of community at large. With the thought of saving birds at the core, this summer AU Bank started the initiative of ‘AU bank Social Connect’.
It is one-of-its-kind initiative where AU Bank is gifting clay pots to residential societies, shopkeepers, corporates, government offices, temples, public parks and households to hang in balconies, terraces and open spaces to feed water to thirsty birds.
With temperature touching 47-48 degree Celsius in MP summers, every summer many birds die due to unavailability of water in this scorching heat.
Therefore, this year AU Bank decided to start the save bird campaign under the ‘AU Bank Social connect’ initiative.
Starting from April, through its 36 branches located in Jaipur, the bank has already distributed more than 700 clay pots for multiple public places.
Besides Bhopal, the clay pots distribution activity is also happening in Jabalpur, Indore, Ratlam, Ujjain, Chindwara etc. The activity kick started in Agar Malwa today at the Collector’s office where Mrs. Varsha Bhuriya, Joint collector, received the 1st clay pot.
The initiative is actively being executed in by various AU bank branches in parts of Delhi, Punjab Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra too.
