Bank of Baroda hosts All India Seminar on ‘Digital Disruptions in Banking Way Forward’


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Bank of Baroda, for the first-ever time in banking industry, organised an All India Seminar for Banking Faculties on ‘Digital Disruptions in Banking-Way Forward’ at its Baroda Apex Academy, Gandhinagar. The programme began with the inaugural speech of Bank’s Executive Director Sh. Ashok Kumar Garg. The event was graced by Joint Director (Official Language), Deptt. of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India Shri. Shailesh Kumar Singh and convenor of Sate Level Bankers Committee, Gujarat and Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Ahmedabad Shri. Vikramaditya Singh Khinchee. At the outset, Chief Learning Officer (CLO) and General Manager Sh. Kamlesh Patel welcomed the guests invited at the event. Deputy General Manager (Official Language) Dr. Jawahar Karnawat presented the outline of the various seminars organised in the last five years. On this occasion an E-book containing the collection of selected articles received for the Seminar on ‘Demonetisation and Digital India’ held last year was also released. Articles from banking faculties of various banks were invited for the programme this year. Participants from 10 major banks made their detailed presentations on digital changes and their effects during the three different sessions in the seminar. The seminar concluded with the inspiring speech of Bank’s Executive Director Sh. Mayank K Mehta. He also distributed prizes to the participants and released the copy of ‘Jeevan Jeene Ki kala’ Hindi translation of book ‘Blossoming Inside Out’ written by Bank’s CLO Sh. Kamlesh Patel. The programme was conducted by Chief Manager (Official Language) Sh. Punit Kumar Mishra.
