CBI interrogates Tejaswi in railway hotel tender scam

Patna, After nine months of raid conducted by CBI at the residence of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, its sleuths today interrogated his son Tejaswi Prasad Yadav for almost four hours in railway hotel tender scam. The raid conducted by CBI at the residence of Mr Prasad after filing FIR in the case against him, his wife Rabri Devi and son Tejaswi Prasad Yadav in July last year, had led to much political upheaval and the grand alliance government ultimately collapsed, with chief minister Nitish Kumar joining hands with BJP to form a new government on July 28. Mr Yadav, who had alleged that FIR lodged against him and his family members by CBI in railway hotel tender scam was result of political vendetta of Narendra Modi government, also wondered on several occasions recently that the premier investigating agency could not file even chargesheet against him after lapse of nine months. CBI sleuths reached at the residence of former Bihar CM Rabri Devi and interrogated Mr Tejaswi Yadav for almost four hours. He replied to most of the questions of CBI and had reportedly evaded few ones. Soon after completion of the interrogation, CBI team left the residence of Rabri Devi and then RJD spokesman Shakti Yadav, while interacting with mediapersons confirmed the action of central agency and described it a dirty game of present dispensation at the Centre. “Everyone knows that marriage of Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of RJD chief Mr Prasad is to be solemnised next month and still Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to participate in Champaran Satyagrah function, with CBI,” Mr Yadav said adding that Mr Modi was attending the function in Motihari and at the same time CBI was interrogating Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, what a classic example of political vendetta.
