Child rights panel chief visits Jawahar Bal Bhavan


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The MP State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) Chairman Dr. Raghvendra Sharma visited the Jawahar Bal Bhavan on Wednesday. Jawahar Bal Bhavan Director Dr. Umashankar Nagayach apprised Dr. Sharma about the aims and working of Jawahar Bal Bhavan. Dr. Sharma visited the various sections of the Jawahar Bal Bhavan including sculpture, modern art, handicraft, skating etc. Praising Jawahar Bal Bhavan, the SCPCR chief said he felt as if he had come to the Bal bhavan of children. Dr. Sharma talked with children and learnt about their interests. Praising the activities of Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Dr. Sharma said the creativity of the children would definitely increase if they come here regularly. He assured Dr. Nagayach that SCPCR would provide every possible assistance to Jawahar Bal Bhavan for the creative development of children. Home Science section in-charge Nisha Sharma taught children to make nutritious chhola aloo tikiya (potato rolls with chhola). Nisha Sharma said maize flour was mixed in mashed potato so that the rolls do not lose shape while frying. Anar, kairi, tomato, onion, namkeen, sweet and green chutney was used while making rolls. Jawahar Bal Bhavan Director Dr. Nagayach said workshop is organized on every Wednesday in which children are taught to make various nutritious and delicious dishes.
