Children learn to make useful materials from waste


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The children are enjoying their summer vacations to the fullest. The children at Jawahar Bal Bhavan are learning new skills from dance to art and craft at Jawahar Bal Bhavan. The children learnt to create different and beautiful handicrafts from waste material Under the series of workshop organized for children in Jawahar Bal Bhavan, a two-day workshop for home furnishing items which was organized by the handicraft department of Jawahar Bal Bhavan. The children enjoyed every bit of the workshop as there was something new to learn. The two-day workshop was like an extravaganza for the little artists. The workshop concluded with a lot of fervour on Tuesday wherein the participating children displayed their works before the visitors. As many as 43 children attended the workshop. Ajay Yadav, in charge of the Handicraft Division, taught the children to make attractive items of decoration with bottles, broken buttons, ice cream stick, cardboard, match sticks. While on one side the little kids learned to make vase, bouquet, on the other hand,young children learned to make attractive items decorating the walls of the house. Director, Jawahar Bal Bhavan, addressed the closing ceremony of the workshop. Umashankar Nagaich observed the accessories made by the children and appreciated the efforts of the children. Umashankar Nagaich said that the children regularly get training in different divisions in Jawahar Bal Bhavan throughout the year, but the purpose behind organizing special workshops is to learn the various nuances of art in less time.
