Children of summer camp relish Kerala’s Marshal Art


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The children who are participating in the summer camp being organized at T.T. Nagar Stadium got a chance to closely experience Kerala’s Marshal Art ‘Kalaripayattu’. The children appreciated this sport based on the art of war with a big round of applause. Principal Secretary Mr. Anirudhhe Mukerjee and Director Dr. S.L. Thaosen acquainted with the performers of this Kalaripayattu group. Under the headship of Srijayan Gurukkal, this 10-member group, especially two little martial artists Asvants and Armal, won the hearts of the audience with their performance of Kalaripayattu. Principal Secretary Mr. Anirudhhe Mukerjee, Director Dr. S.L. Thaosen, Joint Directors Dr. Vinod Pradhan & Mr. B.S. Yadav along with other officials, players and guardians were present during this performance. It is worth mentioning that Kerala’s Marshal Art ‘Kalaripayattu’ is being performed in Bhopal from 24th to 27th May 2018 with the coordinated cooperation of Kerala Sports Council, Higher Education and Sports Departments of Madhya Pradesh.
