CM Chouhan visits hail–hit fields in Sagar district


CM assures compensation of losses to farmers

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited hail-affected Jod, Girol and Laharvas village of Bina tehsil in Sagar disrict on Friday. Chouhan visited the fields and took stock of the damaged crops. Consoling the farmers he said that in this hour of crisis the state government stands with them. Shri Chouhan said that they will face the circumstances together. A survey was being conducted of all affected villages. Patwari, Agriculture Department team and village panch were included in the survey team. The survey list will be pasted in the panchayat so that complete transparency is maintained. The Chief Miniser said that the hail-affected farmers will be given Rs 30 thousand per hectare relief amount along with the crop insurance amount. Loan recovery will be postponed and the interest will be paid by the government. He said that farmers will get loan for fertilisers/seeds on zero percent interest. Chouhan assured farmers that the state government will compensate all farmers for the losses incurred due to hailstorm. Member of Parliament Lakshminarayan Yadav, other public representatives, senior officers and farmers were also present on the occasion.
