Congress observes ‘Vishwasghat Diwas’


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Congress observed ‘Vishwasghat Diwas’ or Betrayal Day by staging demonstration at Jawahar Bhavan at Roshanpura Square. AICC General Secretary and In-charge of Madhya Pradesh Deepak Babaria and former union minister Suresh Pachouri especially participated in the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Babaria highlighted failures of the BJP-led NDA government. He said even BJP national president Amit Shah had admitted that depositing Rs 15 lakh in every Indian’s account was a ‘chunavi jumla’. But, I think all the promises made by Modi before the 2014 general elections were ‘chunavi jumlas’, Babaria said. Mocking at Modi’s ‘Na Khaunga, na Khane Doonga’, he stated that the Rafale deal is one of the biggest scams made by the incumbent government. The deal has caused a huge loss of Rs 12,000 crore to the government, he said. Senior leader Suresh Pachouri said the steep hike in the prices of petrol and diesel is open loot. The incidents of atrocities on women have increased. Farmers are facing grave hardship. Among those present on the occasion included party district president Kailash Mishra, PC Sharma, Ashok Jain Bhabha, Dr. Mahendra Singh Chauhan, JP Dhanopia, Ravi Saxena, Avneesh Bhargava, Vibha Patel, Anand Kunal, Yogendra Parihar, Mohammad Sagir and others.
