New revelations are taking place in the Hemant Katare blackmailing case. The crime branch has so far not arrested the main accused Vikramjit Singh who continues to be at large although he has given statements to the media and is in touch with many people.
Vikramjit Singh is the co-accused in the blackmailing and extortion case lodged against a journalism student by Congress MLA Katare on January 24. The journalism student was subsequently arrested and released on bail. The student has also accused Katare of sexually exploiting her, but Katare has also not been arrested yet although a case has been registered against him.
Meanwhile the statement of the journalism student, who has accused Congress MLA Hemant Katare of sexually exploiting her, has been recorded by the SIT.
Sources revealed Vikramjit has made many revelations in the case before the media but the police have not yet arrested him putting question mark before their style of working.
Vikramjit has said that he went to meet the girl to crack a deal on behalf of Hemant Katare and that he didn’t even know the victim student. Police sources have claimed that Vikramjit Singh is likely to surrender on Sunday.
Earlier the victim girl had said that Vikramjit, who is her co-accused in the blackmailing and extortion case lodged against her by Congress MLA Katare on January 24, was not her aide, but instead the helper of Katare. She had said she hadn’t blackmailed anyone, but instead had been the victim of blackmailing.
