Crime Branch police on Thursday arrested three suspects involved in looting mobile phones and recovered eight stolen mobile phones besides a motorcycle used by them in the crime.
The cops received information that two youths riding on a bike were trying to sell mobile phones at very low price s near Bharat talkies area on Thursday. The cops nabbed the suspects. When they were quizzed they admitted they had looted the mobile phones.
The suspects were identified as Adil (23) of Aishbagh and Sajid alias Sajju (21) of Jehangirabad. Adil works as AC repair mechanic and Sajid works as building painter.A bike used by them in the crime was also seized.
The accused told police that the bike belongs to Fareed Ajmeri (30) who used to provide the bike for robberies and had purchased three looted mobile phones from the accused. Based on the information Fareed was nabbed from Ashoka Garden area and three mobile phones recovered from his possession.
The accused had looted mobile phones from Ashoka Garden, Piplani, Chhola Mandir, Shahjehanabad and Old Categorized market area. After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 392 and 411 of the IPC and started further investigation.
Gold and silver jewellery stolen
Unidentified burglars escaped with gold and silver jewellery worth Rs 80,000 from Golden Palms building under Katara police station area on Thursday. The Palms building is a covered campus deployed with security guards, said police.
Police said that the victim Narhari Bhargava had gone to meet his son in Awadhpuri and when he returned the valuables were found burgled.
In her complaint the victim stated that he had gone to Awadhpuri where he was informed by neighbours that the lock of the door of his house was broken and on the receipt of the information he returned in the night and found that gold and silver jewelry worth Rs 80,000 were burgled.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Interestingly the building is installed with CCTV cameras but remained non functional for the past several days.
The security guards are deployed but expressed ignorance over the burglary or spotting of any miscreants inside the premises of the building.
The victim is resident of flat no; 11 and when the miscreant were breaking locks of other flat neighbours were alerted and they escaped but police claimed that only one flat was targeted.
Meanwhile, valuables worth Rs 1.8 lakh were burgled from C- Sector BHEL under Baghsewania police station area on Thursday.
The victim Ajit Kumar Shrivastava found that gold and silver jewelry and Rs 88000 cash were burgled when he woke up in the morning valuables were found burgled.A complaint was lodged with the police stating that the he was asleep when the burglary took place and when he woke up the door was found open and valuables were found burgled.
17-year-old accident victim succumbs
A 17-year-old youth died while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital. The youth was injured after a speeding auto rickshaw hit his motorbike on February 13 while he was on his way home along with his brother near Marghatiya temple under Shahjehanabad police station area.
The deceased identified as Arbaaz Khan was hit by a speeding auto rickshaw.He along with his brother Irshad (19) were injured and were rushed to Hamidia hospital where Arbaaz died during treatment.
The deceased along with his brother was on his way back to home from Bairagarh after work. Irshad escaped with injuries and was discharged after providing primary treatment. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and started further investigation.
The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.Search for the accused driver has been started.
Youth who consumed poison dies during treatment
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old youth died who consumed poisonous substance in Borpani village and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Misrod.
Ashok Kumar consumed poisonous substance at his farms near Borpani village and was rushed to Sakhlecha hospital in Misrod where he died during treatment in the afternoon on Friday. Misrod police registered a zero FIR and transferred case to Obedullahganj police. The reason of the consuming poison remained unknown.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and started further investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation.
