Agencies, New Delhi Terming the file notings of the India negotiating team in the Rafale deal as proof that the Prime Minister office was carrying out parallel negotiations on the deal , Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said a Criminal investigation should be done against PM Modi on Rafale scam. Addressing a press conference here, the Congress president , reacting to the contention by the government that files on Rafale deal had gone missing from the defence ministry, alleged that government is 'twisting and turning ' facts to save PM and his falsehood. 'Yesterday it was said investigation would be done against even some media as Rafale files are missing. But no investigation is being done against someone who is involved in Rs 30000 cr scam and pocketed this money. It is a clear cut case of corruption. The file notings show that the Prime Minister office was carrying out parallel negotiations in the deal. Why should there not be a criminal investigation against the PM?,'he asked. Stating that a section of media is being "punished" for being brave and taking a stand against Prime Minister Narendra Modi vis-a-vis Official Secrets Act and Rafale row, Mr Gandhi said, ' Take actions against anyone on missing documents, but also take action against the Prime Minister for whom it has been said in the files that his office was carrying out parallel negotiations in the deal. Why Prime Minister is not ordering a probe himself?' Alleging that the government is 'twisting and turning ' facts to save PM and his falsehood, Rahul said, 'the only job of the government is to save the chowkidaar.' Responding to the PM 's charge that the politics played by the Congress delayed delivery of Rafale, Rahul said, ' It is clearly written in the files that Prime Minister's parallel negotiations have delayed Rafale delivery schedule. We have papers.....Rafale did not come on time because you (Modi) wanted to help Anil Ambani.'
