Dr. Mishra performs Bhoomi-Poojan of Stop Dam at Village Tamki


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Narottam Mishra performed bhoomi-poojan of stop dam to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore 53 lakh on river Sindh at village Tamki of Shivpuri district today. The Tamki stop dam will provide irrigation facility on 444 hectare land after its completion. Farmers of village Tamki, Haripura and Bhadota will be benefitted by this dam. Dr. Mishra said that water in sufficient quantity will be made available for irrigation and drinking purpose by this dam to be constructed at Tamki. This will also help in increasing ground water level. Moreover, water will be made available for cattle and domestic purposes besides drinking. He further mentioned that announcement for construction of bridge on Bhadota - Deharda road has already been made by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He informed that each village of Datia area has been connected with Nal-Jal Yojana. Filter water is being supplied through pipeline to the villagers’ houses. Works is also being carried out in other districts in this regard.Minister for Public Health, Family Welfare and Minister In-charge of the District Rustam Singh was also present on the occasion.
