The Election Commission of India has ordered probe into lakh of fake voters in the Madhya Pradesh poll lists. The main opposition in the State Congress has charged that there were about 60 lakh voters deliberately included in the voters list.
The Chief Election Commissioner Mr O.P. Rawat has said large number of fake voters complaints were coming from Madhya Pradesh.
This year in the Assembly bye-elections in Kolaras and Mungawali fake votes were detected and deleted. The collector of Shivpuri and Ashok Nagar were pulledout election duty and transferred from the district.
In recent complaints the Congress have to pointed out that a voter was enrolled in the poll lists at 26 places. The population of state in last 10 years increased by the 24 per cent but number of voters has gone up by 40 per cents.
By the end of this year General Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha will be held and on the beginning of next year 2019 the Lok Sabha Elections will go to polls.
The Election Commission probe teams have started the prove works and will submit report within four days.
