Food festival from Jan 26 to pay gratitude to farmers

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The Bhopal Food Festival will be held from January 26 to 28 at Dussehra Maidan, Bittan Market. The event is being organized by Bhopal Foodies in association with Radio Mirchi. The theme of the food festival is to pay gratitude towards farmers. According to Bhopal Foodies, farmers toil days and months to get the food on our tables. There will be several events to express gratitude towards the farmers and to show solidarity with them. The main attraction of the event will be a farmers’ market, which would throw light on life in villages. Besides the visitors will be able to purchase the organic products straight from the farmers. The Bhopal Foodies is the fastest growing community in Central India. This group on social media (Facebook and Instagram) has over 19,000 members. In the food festival, visitors will get International, national and local cuisines in around 40 stalls prepared by chefs of Bhopal and other cities of the country. The foodies of the city can enjoy vegetarian as well as non-vegetarians delicacies in the event. The event is also giving opportunities to the homemakers of the city to showcase their cooking talent to visitors. The women who actively participate in Bhopal Foodies group and share their recipes on social media are being selected to showcase their talent. Apart from the stalls there will be a play zone for kids, photography exhibition, activities related to cooking demonstrations and workshops.
