Free treatment facility to be given to the poor: CM


CM performs bhoomi-pujan of new multi-storeyed building of Katju Hospital

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today performed bhoomi-pujan of the construction work of the new 100-bedded multi-storeyed building in Dr. Kailash Nath Katju hospital. Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta, MP Alok Sanjar, senior officers of Health Department and a large number of people of the area were present. The Chief Minister said that the facility for treatment of the poor would be available free of cost. He called upon the competent persons to help the poor avail the government’s schemes for the welfare of the poor through self-motivation. It is noteworthy that at present Katju Hospital has twenty bed facility. Now it will become fully facilitated in terms of health facilities. It will have a well-equipped labour room, OPD and an operation theatre. On this occasion, the Chief Minister flagged off the ‘Food Safety on Wheel’ vehicle for the convenience of the common man. A kit for testing the quality of food ingredients in the vehicle will also be available. Citizens can take advantage of this.
