Governor Smt. Patel inspects under construction Community Hall at Rajbhavan


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The Governor Smt. Anandiban Patel conducted surprise inspection of the under construction Community Hall, Kshipra Guest House and Police Barrack at Rajbhavan premises today. Principal Secretary to the Governor Dr. M. Mohan Rao, Engineer- in –Chief Akhilesh Agrawal, Engineer -in-Chief R.K. Vaidhya and other Senior Officers accompanied the Governor. She also held meeting of the officers after the inspection. Smt. Patel gathered information about the construction works and gave directives for the completion of works on time besides using good quality construction material. The Governor told the officers to make good seating arrangements in the community hall, provision of facility for women and senior citizens’ convenient movement and to construct the wide ramp. She mentioned that attention should be paid that the contractor should complete the work responsibly. She instructed to use available space fully in the construction of Community Hall. While inspecting the Kshipra and Kanha guest houses, the Governor Smt. Patel told that the paintings and pictures of Historical Buildings, National Heroes and Tourist Places with information should be placed on the empty walls. Moreover, Smt. Patel told for development of a children park and sports ground in the premises for the children of the officers and employees of the Raj Bhavan. She gave instructions to provide volleyball, badminton, tennis, gymnasium including other facilities in the sports ground. The Governor expressed dissatisfaction over the disarranged material and dirtiness in the police barrack.She gave directives for the arrangement of electricity line, fans and other essential items in the building. Furthermore, the Governor laid emphasis on construction of underground water tank to use maximum rain water in the parks of the Raj Bhavan.
