New Delhi, In its initiative to boost research and innovation in the country, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) will inaugurate the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon (Hardware edition) on June 18, informed HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday.
Mr Javadekar at a press briefing said, “India lacks in Hardware innovation. We have to build up hardware capabilities.
The Hardware Edition which is first of its kind innovative initiative would provide a national platform to young technical minds of India to showcase their disruptive innovations and creative products which can bring out revolutionary changes in crucial sectors like agriculture, health, clean water, waste management, automotive, smart communication and education.
A total of 106 teams and 636 students would participate in a 5 day event, which will conclude on June 22.The Hardware Hackathon will take place simultaneously at 10 places across the country.
