Hemant Katare case: Ajay pitches for probe by retired HC judge


  Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The Opposition Congress has demanded enquiry by a retired High Court Judge in the Hemant Katare blackmail case. Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh assembly Ajay Singh has expressed apprehension that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the allegations of abduction and rape against Congress MLA Katare would do impartial and fair investigations. Singh said the SIT formed to probe the case would not be able to do fair investigations since the case has been framed out with political malice by the government. Singh alleged that the girl and her mother are made political pawns to fulfil the political motives. The identity of the names of Vikaramjit Singh, Arvind Bhadoriya and Sadhna aunty figured in the audio of the girl that went viral could be exposed only when the investigation of the case is done by a retired judge of the high court. Singh said the actions taken in this case right from the beginning show that people close to chief minister are behind it. The leader of opposition alleged that people close to the chief minister arte trying to frame Congress MLA Hemant Katare by making girl a pawn, he said.
