New Delhi, For the sixth straight day, petrol prices witnessed an increase ranging from 16 to 18 paise.In Delhi, petrol stands at Rs. 76.53 , Rs. 83.91 in Mumbai, Rs. 79.20 in Kolkata and Rs. 79.43 in Chennai, according to Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Limited website.
Similarly, diesel prices were raised for the sixth day in a row. One litre of diesel was being sold at Rs. 68.23 in New Delhi, Rs. 72.40 in Mumbai, Rs. 70.78 in Kolkata and Rs.72.03 in Chennai.
The new listed rates are applicable from 0600 hrs today. State-run oil marketing companies Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel prices with effect from 0600 hrs every day.
