Honda educates over 1000 kids on road safety


New Delhi, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. on Friday announced culmination of its Road Safety Summer Camp for school children in Delhi. "Engaging more than 1000 school children, the initiative helped in developing children as safety champs to inculcate road safety as a daily habit in all aspects from a pedestrian to a rider," a statement said. The culmination ceremony was concluded at Honda 2Wheelers India Traffic Training Park, Baba Kharak Singh Marg in the presence of Amulya Patnaik, Commissioner of Police- Delhi, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President- Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd and the other senior dignitaries. Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President – Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Honda has so far educated more than 20 lac people in India on safe riding. This initiative is conducted nationally at our traffic training parks to educate children from the beginning about the importance of road safety and its various aspects. Through this initiative in Delhi, we have educated more than 1000 kids.” Honda’s #HelmetOnLifeOn summer camps were also conducted in Karnal, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Chandigarh, and Coimbatore. In Delhi, Honda has been actively conducting road safety activities for 5 years now at its two traffic training parks. Honda has so far trained more than 2 lac people in Delhi on road safety including 1.3 lac children.
