Imran disqualification case : Pak SC schedules hearing on Oct 18

Islamabad, Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear the review petition on October 18, regarding a disqualification case which earlier exonerated Prime Minister Imran Khan. The review petition was filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi in November last year, who is serving a life sentence in the ephedrine quota case, Geo News reported. The three-member bench will be headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar. The Supreme Court mentioned in its judgment that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief was not liable to declare his offshore company, Niazi Services Ltd, in his 2013 nomination papers, as he was neither a shareholder nor a director of the said company. The court also said that Imran Khan provided sufficient money trail vindicating his claims of Bani Gala property's purchase price.
