Inauguration of temporary exhibition on heritage sites of India

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal inaugurated a Temporary Exhibition on “Heritage Sites of India” and organized a “Painting Competition on Save Water” on the occasion of World Water Day; 22nd March, 2018. Jitendra Agrawal, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife), Forest Department, Madhya Pradesh was the Chief Guest and Prof. Wadudul Haque Siddiqui, Pricipal, Teacher Training Institute, Bhopal & Dr. Surendra Tiwari, Member, Madhya Pradesh Wildlife Board, Bhopal were the Guests of Honour of the programme. During the welcome address, Scientist-B & In-charge of the museum, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma welcomed the Chief Guest, Jitendra Agrawal; Guests of Honour Prof. Wadudul Haque Siddiqui & Dr. Surendra Tiwari; winners & participants of the painting competition; Winners of the Written Quiz Competition held on National Science Day-28th February, 2018; Winners of the Painting Competition held on World Wetland Day – 2nd February, 2018; Participants of the Winter Nature Camp organized at Patchmarhi during 27-29 December, 2017; teachers, parents, media and staff of the museum. During the programme Guest of Honour, Prof. Wadudul Haque Siddiqui told that rivers are the main source of the water in India and water level in the most of rivers have very low around 40%. Prof. Siddiqui informed that we are losing our rivers, lakes, ponds, falls & wall day by day. He told that we have to conserve our river as well other source of water. Prof. Siddiqui appreciated the museum about the works doing towards the conservation of nature and nature resources. Shri Surendra Tiwari told that all world is faceing water crisis in present time, while people is awareing about the water crisis but awareness should be increase to solve the water crisis. He appealed on the World Water Day that we should conserve our rivers and other water sources for our state & country. Chief Guest, Jitendra Agrawal appreciated the museum to arranged the temporary exhibition on Heritage Sites of India. He also told about the importance of water and appealed to all to conserve the water. Chief Guest, Guests of Honour and In-charge of the Museum distributed the prizes to winner of the painting competition held on World Water Day – 22 March, 2018, Winners of the Written Quiz Competition held on National Science Day-28th February, 2018; Winners of the Painting Competition held on World Wetland Day – 2nd February, 2018 and certificates to Participants of the Winter Nature Camp organized at Patchmarhi during 27-29 December, 2017. The programme was ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Manik Lal Gupta, Scientist-B & Coordinator. He informed that this temporary exhibiton is opened for the public for next three months.
