India, Pak agree to resolve harassment of diplomats row


New Delhi, India and Pakistan on Friday mutually agreed to resolve matters related to the treatment of diplomats and diplomatic premises. According to an MEA statement, this has been decided in line with the 1992 "Code of Conduct for the treatment of diplomatic/consular personnel in India and Pakistan". It can be pointed out in the last fortnight, India has consistently registered protest with Pakistan government over the incidence of Harassment and intimidation of Indian diplomats working in Islamabad. A number of 'Note Verbale' were also sent to Pakistan foreign office on blocking of websites of Indian diplomats in Pakistan and harassment of Indian officials.
