Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was called on by the representatives of 5 Industrial Groups at CM House and gave proposals for investment in the state were given to him.
Chouhan met the representatives of Trident Group, M/s Suzlon Energy, M/s Vacmet India Ltd., M/s Ultratech Cement Ltd. and M/s Sunpharma Ltd. Minister for Finance Jayant Malaiya and Chief Secretary B.P. Singh were present on the occasion.
Chouhan said that industry friendly policy has been implemented in the state. While deliberating with the investors, he directed to prepare a policy to encourage textile industry in the state.
Solar and Wind Energy must be encouraged and action should be taken on issues related to the industries within time limit.
During the discussion, Chairman of Trident Group Rajendra Gupta informed that a mega industrial textile hub with the capital investment of Rs. 6250 crore at Budhni will be made by his group, which will facilitate employment to 16 thousand 500 persons.
Chairman of Suzlon Energy Tulsi Tanti said that there is a proposal for establishment of 2 thousand m.w. Solar-Wind Hybrid Power. CMD D.C. Agrawal of M/s Vacmet India Ltd. put forth a demand for exemption in electricity tariff.
Representative of M/s Ultratech Cement Ltd. Atul Daga informed that one more cement plant is being set up by his company in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh and a capital investment of Rs. 3 thousand crore is expected in the plant.
Manish Sanghvi, the representative of M/s Sunpharma has informed that a new plant is being started with the investment of Rs. 200 crore in Malanpur. Apart from this, solar plant at the cost of Rs. 200 crore will also be established by the company.Moreover, a pilot project is being conducted by the company in Mandla district to make it Malaria free district in the next 3 years.
Additional Chief Secretary Finance A.P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Commercial Taxes Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Commerce and Industry Mohd. Suleman, Principal Secretary Energy I.P.C. Kesri, Principal Secretaries to CM Ashok Varnval, S.K. Mishra and Managing Director of TRIFAC D.P. Ahuja were also present on the occasion.
