Jaitley back home from AIIMS after successful surgery

New Delhi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has come back home after three weeks from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where he had gone for renal transplant. In a tweet, Mr Jaitley said that he is delighted to be back at Home. He wrote, “My gratitude to the Doctors, Nursing officers and the paramedics who looked after me for over the past three weeks. I wish to thank all well-wishers, colleagues and friends who were very concerned and continued to wish me for my recovery.” The finance minister underwent a successful kidney transplant weeks after he announced on April 5 that he was being treated for "kidney related problems and certain infections that I have contracted." In September 2014, Jaitley underwent a bariatric surgery to treat weight gain because of a long-standing diabetic condition. The surgery was first performed at Max Hospital, but he had to be later shifted to AIIMS because of complications. Mr Jaitley also had a heart surgery several years ago.
