Kamal Nath appointed new PCC chief for MP, Scindia to be chairman campaign comm

New Delhi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday appointed senior leader Kamal Nath as the new PCC chief for Madhya Pradesh in place of Mr Arun Yadav, ending the suspense on the issue. Party Lok Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia has been appointed the chairman of the campaign committee for MP, a release by AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot said. 'The party appreciates the hard work and contribution by Mr Arun Yadav, who will be stepping down from his responsibility as PCC president of Madhya Pradesh,''Mr Gehlot said. The appointment of Mr Kamal Nath ends the suspense on the appointment of the new PCC chief for MP, which goes for polls by this year end. The Congress president also appointed four working presidents of the party in Madhya Pradesh- Bala Bachhan, Ramnivas Rawat, Jitu Patwari and Surendra Chaudhry. In another decision, the Congress president appointed Giurish Chodankar as the president of the Goa Pradesh Congress in place of Mr Shantaram Naik. ''Congress president Rahul Gandhi has appointed Mr Girish Choidankar as president of the Goa Pradesh Congress committee with immediate effect,''AICC general secretary Ashok Ghlot said. ''The party appreciates the hard work and contribution of Mr Shantaram Naik who will be stepping down from his responsibility as the PCC president of Goa,''Mr Gehlot said.
