After Ramzan and period of Army ceasefire over Bharatiya Janata Party decided to terminate coalition partnership with P.D.P. of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. She had to resign and Governor’s rule is promulgated in Kashmir.
Army is back in military action against terrorists and on the first day gunned down two terrorist at Bendipora. The army is given freehand to deal with the terrorist and stone pelters as it think fit.
During Ramzan ceasefire there were spurt in terrorist activities and stone pelting also increased many fold. But the Mufti Government released about 10,000 stone pelters and withdraw cases against them. The Government in a most obnoxious way registered case against C.R.P personnel for escaping attack by thousands of Namaz on his vehicle.
It was on card that the had BJP not pulled out of the coalition government the next day Mehbooba planned to demand extension of ceasefire in the Kashmir and on not getting it to end the coalition in a breakup with BJP. But the BJP has scored it a day earlier charging the Mehbooba of the design the ceasefire to boost up terrorism in the Valley and encouragement of stone pelters.
A BJP leader Mr Kavindra Gupta has hinted that BJP is exploring another combination in state to form a government without P.D.P. The Congress have four seats in Ladak and Jammu and National conference of Omar Obdullah National Conference has few seats in Jammu and Valley region.
There is remote possibility of new political combination to form government but individual M.L.As of National Conference and Congress do not want the dissolution of Assembly and election and they may come to BJP side to give it.
In the current house the P.D.P. has 28, BJP 25, National Confernece 15, Congress 12, Independents and C.P.M. and P.D.F. total 7 and 2 are nominated members. The Governor’s Rule is for 6 month and it can be extended, Mr Omar Obadullah has demanded fresh election.
The Army has been given clear understanding that there would no further ceasefire or any operational directive to it. All out operation will continue till all out of terrorist.
The Army will also deal with stone pelters to wipe out them also.
The Director General of Police of Jammu and Kasmir Mr S.P. Vaidya has said the para military and armed police will intensify action on the terrorist.
