Mahila Congress hold demo against hike in prices of cooking gas


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal ,Mahila Congress activists staged demonstration at Mata Mandir Square on Saturday in protest against the hike in prices of cooking gas. The women’s wing of opposition Congress on Saturday hit the streets protesting against the recent hike in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). Leaders of the party criticised the Centre for raising the price of both subsidised and non-subsidised LPG cylinders. The women have been hit hard with the unexpected price rise. After the continuous hike in petrol and diesel prices, the Narendra Modi-led central government has targeted the cooking gas. We strongly condemn such move by the Centre, said the protesting women. They said the party will continue its protest till the price hike is not rolled back.Led by state Mahila Congress president Mandvi Chauhan and district president Santosh Kasana, party workers staged demonstration with empty gas cylinders.
