Make waste transfer stations operational: Mayor


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Mayor Alok Sharma has directed that the work on waste transfer stations be completed as early as possible. The Mayor gave this instruction while inspecting the waste transfer station at Yadgar-e-Shahjahani Park. The Mayor also inspected other under-construction waste transfer stations at TT Nagar, Bhadbhada, Yadgar-e-Shahjahani Park, Bairagarh, DIG Bungalow and other places. Mayor directed that construction of boundary wall and other pending works of waste transfer stations be completed and they should be made operational as soon as possible. The Mayor also directed to establish compost units to make manure from waste. At Yadgar-e-Shahjahani Park the Mayor had a look at the compost and bio-methanization plant. The Mayor was informed that bio-methanization plant has been connected with the Deendayal Kitchen with a pipeline and the gas from the plant is being supplied to the kitchen.
