Man booked for raping woman after befriending through FB

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Ashoka Garden police have booked a man for sexually assaulting a woman he acquainted through Facebook at a hotel in Raisen. A case was registered in this regard on Tuesday. According to the police the accused and victim became friends over Facebook and later the accused sexually assaulted her at a hotel in the city. The victim and accused are residents of Chindwara and came to the city where accused sexually assaulted the victim. In her complaint the victim said she became friend with the accused Ashish Pawar over Facebook in the month of December last year and later she accompanied the accused to the city and visited several places with the accused after which the accused took her to a city hotel and sexually assaulted her. The accused threatened her of dire consequences and told her to not to report the incident. The suspect has been booked under section 376, 506 of the IPC and Prevention of Atrocities (SC & ST) Act. The accused is reported to be at large and a hunt has been launched for him. The victim lodged a complaint with Kotwali police station in Chindwara was a zero FIR was registered and later case was transferred to Ashoka Garden police.

Man held for abducting married woman

Chhola Mandir police have nabbed a kidnapper who abducted a 22-year-old married woman at Shiv Nagar colony on Monday; she was released on Tuesday. Police said that the victim was forcefully kidnapped by Haider Shaikh on Monday and later she managed to escape on Tuesday. A complaint was lodged with the police by the parents of the victim and based on the complaint accused was nabbed. The accused was sent under judicial custody after he was produced in the court on Wednesday.

Fraudster nabbed for duping youth in name of job

Nishatpura police have nabbed a fraudster who duped one youth to the tune of Rs 2.6 lakh in the name of facilitating job in AIIMS Bhopal; accused had been booked in nine more cases in the past in Jabalpur and Bhopal. CSP Nishatpura Lokesh Sinha said that the accused Satish Sagar has been involved in several crimes at different places of the state and was wanted in different cases. During the investigation it was found that few more people have been duped in Bajaria area through the same offer of facilitating job in AIIMS Bhopal and possibly more cases of fraud of the same nature would be revealed by the victims who have been trapped by the accused, he added. He was wanted in sexual assault case committed under Ratibad police station area with his niece. Police said that the accused was nabbed after a complaint was lodged with Nishatpura police by the victim Sudha Sharma who was duped by Satish Sagar and Surendra Harun in the name of facilitating job of nurse at AIIMS Bhopal. The victim provided Rs 2.6 lakh for the job. The accused has been booked for fraud in Jabalpur, Damoh and Nishatpura. He has been booked for rape, attempt to murder, and possession of weapons illegally. The police registered a case under section 420, 468 and 506 of the IPC and have started further investigation. He was sent under police custody after being produced in court. The accused has been involved in criminal activities from the year 1996. Search has been intensified for the other accused has been started by the police.

Man killed 85-year-old over suspicion of illicit relations with wife

Sukhi Sewania police have nabbed a 35-year-old man on the charge of killing an 85-year-old man, suspecting his illicit relationship with killer’s wife at a farm house in Ganiyari village on Tuesday. Police said that the deceased Suraj Singh Yadav was killed at a farm house owned by Bheesam Sharma at Ganiyari village. The deceased was a resident of Raisen and used to work at the farm house. The accused identified as Kailash Goud suspected his wife of having illicit relationship with the deceased. SHO Sukhi Sewania Mahendra Mishra said that the accused was nabbed and has confessed the crime. The accused confessed that he killed Suraj. Police said that the accused also tried to kill his wife and chased her but she managed to save herself with minor injuries and escape the attack and informed regarding the murder. She sustained injuries in her hands as she grabbed the axe used to attack her by the accused. During the investigation police found that in the afternoon the accused found his wife with the accused when he reached the farm in the afternoon and infuriated over the two he attacked deceased with sharp edged weapon killed him and later he attacked his wife but she escaped the attack. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 302 of the IPC was registered. Police have started further investigation. The deceased used to work as security guard at the farm house while the accused used to work as labour and lived at the farm house along with his family.
