Man using MP’s VIP mobile numbers in Gujarat nabbed

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The Cyber Police have arrested a man from Gujarat who had been illegally using Madhya Pradesh’s mobile numbers in Gujarat. The suspect Kamlesh has so far used over half dozen numbers after porting them. According to the information received from Cyber Police, 43-year-old Kamlesh Tiwari, son of Vishwanath Tiwari, belongs to Wapi in Gujarat. The suspect was using MP’s VIP mobile numbers in Gujarat after porting them. He used to buy Sim from Air Tel company in Gujarat in the hope of getting a VIP number and used to activate them. When people got the information that their mobile numbers were being unauthorizedly used, they contacted the call centres of the company and asked them to block the numbers. When the numbers were not blocked, they even contacted the suspect with the request to deactivate the number. But Kamlesh did not agree. The plaintiffs then complained to Cyber Police. The Cyber Police traced the phones used by the suspect and arrested him. The suspect had purchased VIP numbers from Air Tel Company. These numbers belonged to Reliance Company in MP. Cyber Police have also written to TRAI for action against mobile companies as probe has revealed that numbers were ported without seeking consent.

Cloth merchant commits suicide

Under Gautam Nagar police station, a cloth merchant committed suicide by consuming celphos. Police investigation has revealed that the merchant was under heavy debt and he was suffering loss in business. According to the information received from the police Rajkumar Chhavadia, 48, lived in Sant Kanwarram Colony along with the family. He had a cloth shop at Jehangirabad Murgi Bazar. He was mentally upset for the past few days. On Sunday morning he consumed celphos. He died late on Monday night. Before his death, Rajkumar informed police that he had been suffering loss in the business for the last three years. He had taken loan from some people but was unable to repay. The deceased’s family members were in state of shock after his death. Rajkumar’s daughter, who studies in Class-9, was inconsolable. Police said investigations are in progress.
