Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Apr 23 (UNI) An estimated 21.10 per cent voters exercised their franchise in Aurangabad and Jalna constituencies in Marathwada region till 1100 hrs on Tuesday.
While Jalna recorded the highest of 23.33 per cent polling, Aurangabad registered 18.88 per cent.
Barring EVM problems at some of the constituencies briefly, which was later rectified by the officials, the polling was progressing smoothly, election officials said.
Long queues were seen of the voters participating in the festival of Indian democracy, one of the biggest in the world.
New voters are being seen participating with enthusiasm for the voting purpose.
Aurangabad Shiv Sena candidate, Chandrakant Khaire cast his votes in city.
