Married man booked for exploiting woman on pretext of marriage

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal A 32-year-old married man has been booked by Gandhi Nagar police on the charge of sexually exploiting a 24-year-old separated woman. A case was registered in this regard on Saturday. Accused Sabu Khan, resident of Abbas Nagar, sexually exploited the victim on the pretext of marriage, but later refused to marry her. The victim in her complaint stated that she got separated from her husband and used to live alone in Abbas Nagar where she came into contact with Sabu Khan who lured her on pretext of marriage and sexually assaulted her but later refused to marriage her. The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and started further investigation. In another case where a female was sexually assaulted on the pretext of marriage, Piplani police have booked a 27-year-old man for sexually assaulting and exploiting a 22-year-old girl for the past two years on the pretext of marrying her. The victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Shaikh Azhar who used to work with the victim at a private firm in MP Nagar, said police. In her complaint victim stated that she used to work with Azhar at a Jio store where she developed relationship with the accused. The accused took her to a hotel in Piplani area and lured her of marriage and sexually assaulted her. Later when she asked for marriage Azhar refused and threatened her of dire consequences. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and have started search for the accused. Victim claimed that she was sexually exploited her at several places. The victim braved and lodged complaint with Mahila police station and later case was transferred to Piplani police station.

Bag containing Rs 2.5 lakh stolen

A bag carrying Rs 2.5 lakh was stolen from a Sehore-based man near Cancer hospital under Shahjehanabad police station area on Saturday. The victim Narayan Singh came to Bhopal to buy Buffalo with Rs 2.5 lakh cash and when he was waiting two persons approached him and escaped with the cash. In his complaint victim stated that he came to the city to buy Buffalo and when he was near Cancer hospital two persons who were scheduled to sell Buffalo came and one of them took the bag which was kept over victim’s vehicle and when victim tried to chase him, other man also fled the spot. The police have registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
