Media plays significant role in protecting country’s glorious culture


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra today felicitated senior journalists in journalists’ convention in Balaghat. Dr. Mishra said that journalists play an important role in works of national importance. The contribution of media can be significant in maintaining the respect and liveliness of Indian culture. The country’s glorious culture should be protected in this phase of modern society and communication revolution. For this the entire media world should remain alert and work in continuity. Minister Dr. Mishra said that Madhya Pradesh government has taken several steps for the welfare of journalists. The renewal period of the accreditation card has been changed from one year to two years. The provision for cashless treatment under health and accident insurance scheme has been increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 4 lakh and in case of sudden accidental death the provision of Rs 5 lakhs has been hiked to Rs 10 lakhs.
