Minister inspects accident site at Bhopal railway station


Financial aid of Rs 50,000/- to seriously injured and Rs 10,000/- to general injured victims

Public Relations Minister P.C. Sharma inspected the site of the accident caused by the breakdown of a portion of the ramp (flat bridge) connecting platform 2 and 3 to the foot over bridge of Bhopal railway station this morning. Sharma issued instructions to provide free treatment to the injured in the accident. He announced to provide assistance of Rs 50 thousand each to the seriously injured and Rs 10 thousand to general injured victims of the accident on the instructions of Chief Minister Kamal Nath.

Minister Sharma reached Hamidia Hospital and met the injured victims admitted there for treatment. He sought information about the health of the injured. Sharma instructed the doctors and administrative officials to ensure better treatment for all the injured.  Sharma instructed Divisional Commissioner Smt. Kalpana Shrivastava on phone from the accident site to conduct a probe into the incident. He informed that the Railway Ministry will be urged to ensure arrangements of inspection, examination, repair and maintenance of all such railway over bridges of the state.
