Minor arrested for Muazzin’s murder

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Police have cracked the murder of a Muazzin of a mosque who was killed on Thursday near the prayer place under Talaiya police station area in the city. Nisar Ahmed, attached to Akhade Wali Masjid, was attacked in neck with a sharp object by unidentified persons when he was standing near the mosque and died due to excessive bleeding. Police said the murderer is a minor and known to the deceased. They said the murder took place due to personal reasons. Police did not divulge much details related to the case but it is believed that there was dispute over the donation amount coming to the mosque. DIG Dharmendra Chaudhary said the police are investigating the case closely. It is reported that the minor accused’s father is at a religious post. The suspect is being quizzed. Deceased Nisar Ahmed, attached to Akhade Wali Masjid, was allegedly attacked in neck with a sharp object by unidentified person near the mosque. After he was attacked, Ahmed ran towards the mosque, but collapsed in its compound. Ahmed was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Vehicle lifter nabbed, 10 stolen vehicles seized

Hanumanganj police have nabbed a 23-year-old vehicle lifter and recovered 10 vehicles worth Rs 5 lakh from his possession on Wednesday. According to the police, acting on a tip off regarding a youth with a stolen vehicle was searched and nabbed and when he was quizzed regarding the motorbike he was not able to provide the details and document of the motorbike. The nabbed accused confessed that the motorbike was stolen from Nishatpura area and in the further investigation the accused confessed that he had stolen nine more motorbikes. The nabbed miscreant was identified as Anurag Sarathe of Raisen and used to live in a rented room in Anand Nagar. Police said that in the initial investigation the miscreant told the police that he used to steal from different parts of the city and would park those vehicles in parking spaces and would search for customers for disposal of those vehicles and after getting the deal done the customers would be provided with the vehicles. The police have registered a case under section 379 of the IPC and started further investigation.
