Over one-and-half dozen suicide notes recovered from room, calls himself gay in the note

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal The body of a youth who went missing four days back from Bagh Sewania police station area was recovered from Upper Lake on Sunday. The police have sent the body for post mortem. Police recovered more than one-and-half dozen suicide notes from the room of the deceased. Police said Neelotpak Sarkar, 27, basically belonged to Haridwar. He lived in a rente4d room in Saket nagar. He came to Bhopal in August 2017 for a six-month research in AMPRI. He lived on rent in the house of one Parashuram Sahu. On February 7 evening, he asked his domestic helper not to prepare food for him. He left the home but did not return. His landlord tried to contact him on phone but his mobile was switched off. After this he lodged a missing report at Bagh Sevania police station. On February 7, the youth had sent a message to SP South through his Facebook account in which he said he did not want to live. The SP immediately asked Bagh Sevania police to launch investigations in the case. On Sunday morning police received information that the body of a youth was lying in the Upper Lake. The body was identified as that of Neelotpak. ASP Rakesh Bhadoria said the body is two days’ old. According to the police,Neelotpak was a devotee of Goddess Kali. Police found nearly 20 suicide notes pasted on the walls of the deceased’s room. In these notes he wrote that Goddess Kali gave him darshan on October 2016, and she said he would get his life partner in a year but asked him never to express his love for the life partner otherwise he (life partner) would die. The suicide note said that he was going to commit suicide but prayed to God not to harm his love. The deceased wrote I am not straight. I am gay and I am proud of it. He said he could not express his feelings but wanted his last rites to be done by his love.ASP Zone-3 Rajesh Singh Bhadoria said prima facie it appears the youth committed suicide out of depression. Investigations are on in the case.
