6/15/2019

New Delhi, Alleging links of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah with the ISI, the Congress on Friday said that there is a lot of evidence to show that the duo of Modi and Shah have a ‘Grand alliance’ with the ISI for which they should apologise to the nation. Talking to reporters here, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala said,’’the biggest proof of links between the ISI and Mr Modi and Mr Shah is the statement by former Chief Lieutenant General of the ISI Assad Durrani that Mr Modi is ISI’s favourite choice as the Prime Minister of India.’’ Mr Surjewala said that it was because of this ‘Grand alliance’ that for probing the Pathankot terrorist attack the Modi Government invited the same ISI that had carried out this attack . ‘’The Pakistani delegation that was invited to probe the Pathankot terrorist attack also included the members of the ISI. PM Modi should tell the nation on what basis was the ISI , that was responsible for the Pathankot attack allowed to carry out a probe into the attack,’’Mr Surjewala said. Mr Surjewala said that on March 30 , 2016, BJP chief Amit Shah had , while addressing a public rally in Kolkata, stated that Pakistan has made serious efforts to probe the Pathankot terrorist attack. ‘’Mr Shah should tell the nation why did he praise Pakistan’s ISI if he did not have links with it,’’Mr Surjewala said. The remarks by Mr Surjewala are seen as a response to the statement by the BJP that the revelations being made by Congress president Rahul Gandhi on the Rafale deal are aimed at helping Pakistan.
