Modi, Amit Shah to embark on mass outreach mission


New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kickstart a "special kind" of mass outreach from Monday where the beneficiaries of various government schemes like Ujjwala Yojana at various levels will interact with him. "....will take part in a special kind of interaction, with beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana from all over India. Looking forward," the Prime Minister tweeted in the morning hours. According to party spokesman Anil Baluni, as part of ' the ‘Sampark for Samarthan’ (contact for support) drive, BJP chief Amit Shah will lead a mass outreach programme on the government’s achievements.Mr Shah would contact at least 50 people, the statement said. BJP sources said the central leadership has directed each party worker to contact at least 10 people and brief them about government schemes and take feedback. Mr Modi has already launched a survey on his Namo app, asking people to rate the performance of the BJP-led government at the Centre. People have been requested to give suitable feedback to MPs and MLAs in their constituencies. “It is your voice that counts! Tell me what you feel about the working of the central government, its initiatives and the development work in your constituency. Take part in this survey on the NaMo app,” Mr Modi has tweeted on May 26. Elections are due in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram later this year while parliamentary elections are to be held by April-May in 2019.
