In the 38th Senior National Archery Championship, which concluded recently in Pune (Maharashtra), the athletes of MP State Archery Academy won a bronze medal in the compound women team event to make the state proud.
In this event, the team of Vaishnavi Sharma, Anuradha Ahirwar, Srishti Singh and Ragini Marco defeated Punjab and Rajasthan in the pre-quarter final and the semi-final respectively, while they defeated All India Police Service Control Board by a difference of 4 points in the match played for the third position.
Earlier in the championship, academy’s athletes Aditya Upadhyay and Amit Kumar earned a gold medal in the recurve team event of boys’ category. It is worth mentioning that these athletes participated under the guidance of Chief Coach Mr. Richpal Singh Salaria.
