Neighbour rapes 9-year-old raped in Bairagarh, arrested

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Under Bairagarh police station, a nine-year-old child was raped on Saturday. The child’s parents had gone on work and she was alone at home. A youth, who was her neighbour, barged into the house and raped her. He then left the child in serious condition and fled. The victim’s parents returned in the night and rushed her to the hospital. The police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him. According to the police, the 32-year-old mother of the child told police that she and her husband are labourers. On Saturday both of them had gone on work and their daughter was alone at home. They returned home at about 8 pm and found their daughter in a pool of blood. They rushed the child to the hospital where the doctors confirmed that she had been raped. Police reached the hospital after receiving information. After gaining consciousness the child told the police that she was watching TV at her home at about 5 pm when Monu Jatav alias Nattu, who lives near her house, came to her home and asked for a glass of water. The child told him that there was no water and asked him to go. But the accused did not go and closed the door and sexually assaulted the child. He then fled leaving the child in a pool of blood.Police have arrested the accused and interrogating him.

Man arrested for sexually exploiting woman on pretext of marriage

Ayodhya Nagar police have nabbed a 30-year-old man who has been sexually exploiting a 25-year-old girl for the past three years in the name of marriage in Ayodhya Nagar area. Police said that the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused identified as Mithun Bairagi. In her complaint, the victim stated that the accused came in her contact around three years ago and developed relationship with the accused and later accused developed physical relationship with the victim by luring her of marriage but after three years of exploitation when victim asked for marriage accused refused and a complaint was lodged with the police. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under section 376 (2) (N) of the IPC and later the accused was nabbed during the investigation. The accused went absconding after the complaint was lodged by the victim. The accused hails from Betul and was staying at Kolar. The accused was produced in the court on Saturday and was sent under judicial custody.
