No Confidence Motion

The Lok Sahba today admitted Congress-Telegu Desam Party sponsored motion of no confidence in the Modi Ministry. It will come on discussion and voting on Friday July 20. After the question hour the Speaker Mrs.Sumitra Mahajan put before House and more than 51 members stood in support of it and motion was admitted. It is first no confidence motion against the Modi Government in its term. In the last session the Opposition led by Congress tried to move it but due to everyday bedlam and adjournment of House it could be put for the approval by the House. Obviously the Modi Government manipulated such situation to frustrate the Opposition move. But now there seems to be some understanding that Government would not hamper the motion in a tactical way and the Opposition will not create bedlam and Govenrment will get bills passed. One of such bill is related to Muslim Triple Talaq system. The Supreme Court has declared the Triple Talaqs as unconstitutional and now the proposed legislation will make it offence and punishable. The Nida Khan of Bairally of Uttar Pradesh won another round of victory in the Lucknow court. When she was given triple talaq by her husband, she launched a crusade against it and she come upto Supreme Court and the Court declared that custom of Triple Talaq in the Muslim society is unconstitutional and now in the light of this decision the Government is bringing a Bill in the Parliament to make it a punishable act and illegal. Now on July 18 the Lucknow Court has declared that Triple Talaq given to her as illegal. In this session of Parliament the Bill on Triple Talaq is sure to be adopted. It will be another victory to courageous lady Nida Khan. At the onset of the sitting Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi made an appeal in the House that discussion as general issues and decision were necessary in national interest and urged the cooperation of all the parties to make maximum use time of Parliament in this session that will continue till August 10. There were several motion of no confidence and the Speaker allowed Telegu Desam member Mr.Kesinam Srinivas to move his motion as his name had come up in the lottery. The Union Parliamentary Minister Mr.Ananth Kumar said that the Modi Ministry has confidence and support of two third majority and it will face the no confidence motion and will get defeated in voting. Now it is almost certain that this session of Parliament will function smoothly and all the Bill of the Government would be cleared.
