No power could stop Cong if party leaders are united: Diggy


Agencies, Panna, MP, Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh has claimed that no power could defeat the party provided that all leaders are united. Mr Singh, who has appointed as the head of the State Congress Coordination Committee, made the statement while replying to a media query over factionalism within the party here yesterday. “All the party leaders would contest the next assembly elections unitedly,” he said. Mr Singh embarked on ‘Ekta Yatra’ with offering of prayers at the Ram Raja Temple at Orchha in Tikamgarh District for establishing coordination among party leaders. Senior Congress leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi, former minister Mukesh Nayak,former MP Rameshwar Neekhra and other party leaders were present. Replying to a query, he said that the next chief minister would be chosen by the Congress Legislature Party and would have the blessings of Congress President Rahul Gandhi. On whether the party would enter into alliance with other parties in the run-up to assembly elections, Mr Singh that a decision in this regard would be taken up by the party.
