Pending cases of forest rights pattas to be redressed till August


Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has issued directions to get a high-level committee to probe pending cases of forest rights pattas and get them redressed till the month of August. He told officials to implement government’s public welfare schemes and effective programmes like a well-wisher. Chouhan was addressing state’s administrative and police officials through video conference. The Chief Minister gave detailed directions to officials on issues related to control on crime against women, unorganized labourer welfare scheme and purchase of agricultural produce on support price during the video conference. Chief Secretary B.P. Singh was also present on the occasion. Take stern action against criminals: CM Chouhan said that stern action should be taken against crimes against women. Challan should be presented at a fixed time, investigation should be completed soon and criminals should be punished in cases of crime against women. He said that regular review should be conducted of marked criminals so that a sense of security is created in the society. Expressing happiness on the efforts taken in this direction Chief Minister Chouhan issued instructions to take stern action against bond-over and notorious goonda elements. He said that this will instill fear in the criminals. Chouhan said that the abscondence of criminals of crime against women will not be acceptable. He told the officials to confiscate property of criminals and declare reward on them. He instructed them to keep strict vigilance over hookah bars, liquor shops and ahatas. He directed to make adequate arrangements of patrolling, lighting and CCTV cameras in sensitive spots. He said that every Monday Commissioner, Collector, IG and Superintendent of Police of divisional headquarters and police and administrative officials at district headquarters should review law and order situation. The Chief Minister said that it is essential to work with team spirit. He instructed officials to send weekly reports of action taken. Final redressal of pending forest rights pattas must: The Chief Minister directed the Collector and Superintendent of Police to jointly review the general crime cases against persons belonging to Scheduled Tribe to settle them and send a proposal at the state level. He directed them to begin process of constituting Cabinet sub-committee to solve pending cases of forest rights. Chouhan said that the forest rights cases should be reviewed jointly by the commissioner and Chief Conservator of Forests at the division level. Collector and Forest Range Officer should jointly review the cases after spot investigation at the district level. The Chief Minister instructed to make final settlement of the cases by the month of August. Labourers’ Grand Convention from April 17: While deliberating on the scheme for the welfare and social security of labourers of the unorganized sector, Chouhan told to action according to the time table by preparing a roadmap. Work for registration of labourers should be carried out from April 1 with positive approach in the form of a campaign. Take cooperation of public representatives, voluntary organizations and others in the registration process. He informed that the provident fund of those labourers is not deducted will also be registered under this scheme. Online as well as offline registration will be made under the scheme. Benefit will be given to the labourers registered during the Labourers’ Grand Convention. These conventions will be organized at district level from April 17 to May 31. The Chief Minister himself will address the people of the state on March 31 in connection to this scheme. Conduct daily review of procurement on support price: Chief Minister Chouhan said that a wide publicity of arrangements as regard to the procurement of agriculture produce on support price and transparency should be carried out. Encourage farmers to bring their agriculture produce in mandi. Deposit amount of support price of pulses and oilseed within 3 days in the bank accounts of the farmers. Conduct daily review of procurement work. Do not overlook any information and problem and give immediate response. Form control room at district level. Benefit of Mukhya Mantri Krishak Samraddhi Yojana will be provided to the farmers only on sale of their produce on support price or in mandi. The Chief Minister further said that an amount of Rs. 200 of the previous year and Rs. 265 of the current year towards wheat will be deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers on April 16 and June 10 respectively. He told the officers to get the verification of farmers’ bank accounts within time limit and the farmers should also be informed through SMS. Chouhan informed that the farmers will get an additional amount in the current year at the rate of Rs. 100 per quintal for gram, red lentil and mustard. He said that registration made under the Bhavantar for gram, red lentil and mustard has been changed to support price procurement now. Farmers, who could not register themselves under the scheme can register till March 31.
